Based in Chichester, Hannah graduated from De Montfort University in 2006 in Ceramics and Glass. She continued at De Montfort to achieve a Masters of Fine Art based on ‘An Exploration of the Ceramic Surface’.
Hannah creates both monoprints and ceramic work. There is a theme of interwoven methods throughout; each approach blending into the next, her unique creations embrace their strikingly different techniques. With purposeful brush strokes, stamps, pencil marks and carvings she creates fluid visual landscapes on the textures of canvas and smooth ceramic surfaces.
Hannah’s bright career has led her to receive the 2015 FRESH award at the British Ceramics Biennial, the 2018 Newcomer Award at Ceramic Art London, and a place as a finalist within the 2019 British Ceramics Biennial.
Hannah works from her studio on the South coast. Her workspace displays the beach finds that have inspired her and a range of rocks for etching into her pieces that she has carefully selected from the shore.
